In the words of Jazz superstar Lionel Loueke, "Marko Djordjevic is one of the greatest drummers! He possesses incredible technique with a musical mind to match it! I love playing with him because he is creative and unique!" Modern Drummer calls him "a world class drummer" and "a true innovator". In her book The New Face of Jazz, author Cicily Janus states "Marko's name is quickly becoming synonymous with greatness".

Marko has performed and/or recorded with the likes of Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Jonah Smith, Clarence Spady, Michael Henderson, Ole Mathisen, Jacques Schwartz-Bart, Dave Binney, Garry Willis, Hal Crook, Eli Degibri, Lionel Loueke, Aaron Goldberg, The Itals, The Kung Fu Masters, Chris McDermott, Ole Mathiesen, Tony Levin, Sten Hostfalt, The Mason Brothers, Eric Lewis and many others. Marko's 4th album as a leader of the NYC outfit Marko Djordjevic & Sveti, entitled Something Beautiful received international attention. In addition to performing, Marko is a Professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston and faculty member at The Drummer's Collective in NYC, where he resides.
