The Tim Genis
symphonic signature series sticks are crafted from persimmon, which
is known for its density, durability and resistance to high impact.
These sticks produce a full-bodied and slightly darker sound than
other wood while the density also gives added power, allowing the
performer to avoid overplaying.
Currently teaching at Boston University, Tim serves as Principal
Timpanist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Genis also runs
the Boston University Tanglewood Institute percussion program,
and has been a guest performer with the Vienna Philharmonic, New
York Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony, and Israel Philharmonic.
Tim has given workshops throughout the United States and
abroad.
