We use a specially formulated, high impact nylon material that guarantees our tips won't break or fly off. In fact, the wood will break before the tip does!

Specially formulated impact resistant nylon before it is melted.

Before the nylon tip is applied, each stick has a "blank" tip - a small ball at the very end of the taper. After the plastic has been heated and melted, it is applied to the "blank" tip of each stick by machine.
Nylon tips are injected onto each stick.

Inside the machine, the plastic flows through a distribution channel where it is injected into the cavity, forming around the wood ball.
The liquid nylon flows through a distribution channel and into the
cavity for each tip.

The end result is a plastic encapsulated tip that is very strong and guaranteed not to break.
The result is a nylon tip that is formed tightly around the round ball at
the tip of the blank stick.
