On February 2, 2008- Norman Weinberg visited Idaho State University where he presented 2 clinics during the Idaho Day of Percussion. 85 enthusiastic students attended the two on timpani techniques and percussion technology. Four high school percussion ensembles received direct coaching from Norm.

In addition, 100 people were in attendance at the concert that closed the event where Norm performed a solo electronic percussion piece and timpani on a separate percussion ensemble piece.
