Dedham, MA August 2006 – Vic Firth Inc., the world’s largest and leading manufacturer of drumsticks and mallets, congratulates Victoria Institute for winning the 2006 National High School Marching Competition’s Best Percussion Award. The 2006 competition was held in Kuantan, the capital of Pahang in Malaysia. There were 12 competing marching corps which represented each of the 12 states in Malaysia.
JS Music, Vic Firth’s distribution partner in Malaysia, was an event sponsor who provided Vic Firth product packages for the top three finishers as well as an award and product package for the Best Percussion Award as determined by a panel of 10 distinguished judges. The Victoria Institute corps represented Kuala Lumpur. |
