Calling all drummers!

There's a cool ensemble/community drum group being formed this summer sponsored by the Music Center of LA County.

This new concept ensemble is being called a SNARE DRUM CHOIR. The workshops are lead by Vic Firth Education Team Member Ed Barguiarena, L.A.-based composer, musician, and Santa Clara Vanguard Alumni (1983, 1986, 1987, 1988)

If you are a non-professional, local drummer, AND own a standard snare drum (no marching drums please), then this is for you!

Workshop are on selected Saturdays from 9:30am - 12:30pm, Summer 2009:

With a final presentation/performance on September 26th on the main stage of Walt Disney Concert Hall!!!!

Participants must be 18 or older. Workshops fees are on a sliding scale (pay what you can) from $25 - $10 for the ENTIRE series. That's almost $1.50 per class!
