Last August Ney Rosauro did a very successful tour through Japan, Hong
Kong and Macao.
In Japan among many concerts and masterclasses he was the special guest
of Mrs. Rye Sato for the concert for the 50th aniversary of the
Japanese Marimba Society where he performed his Second Marimba Concerto
and other pieces .
In Nagoya (and Tokyo) he did the world premier of
his new "Serenata for Marimba/Vibraphone and Percussion Ensemble" with
the University of Nagoya Percussion Ensemble directed by Mrs. Yukie
Kurihara. He also played duet with Fumie Yamashita.
In Honk Kong he performed at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts
hosted by Mr. Alan Cumberland. In Macao he was the first International
artist to be invited by the newly founded Macao Percussion Association
hosted by Mr. Leong Pui Long.
All the events were sposored by Yamaha, Sabian and Vic Firth.
