Jeff Queen Appears as Featured Clinician at Auburn University Camp

On June 23rd-26th 2007, Auburn University held its first annual High School Marching Percussion Camp on the Auburn University campus.  The camp was well attended for it’s first year, attracting students throughout Alabama and Georgia.

Jeff Queen was the featured clinician at the camp.  He instructed ensemble sessions, and gave a snare drum clinic.  The students were amazed by his speed, technique, and musicality.  During his clinic he discussed practice techniques for speed/chops, rudimental development, and rhythmic accuracy as well as performing several well-known solos including “The Downfall of Paris” and “The Three Camps”.  He also played several of his original compositions.  His clinic ended with an incredible performance of his championship solo “Tribute”.

Jeff’s clinic was sponsored by Vic Firth, Zildjian, Evans, and Pearl.  For more information about the Auburn High School Drumline Camp or the Auburn Drumline, please contact Doug Rosener at 334.844.3160 or rosendb@auburn.edu.
