The JMU Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Band will present
7 exciting, fun-filled concerts as part of their Spring 2008 tour.
The full ensemble will present a variety of selections from
pop to classical. Short solos will also be
presented on each of the major instruments including a
snare drum solo by the national NABBA champion. The popular
steel drum band "Mad Pans" will be featured during the
second half of the show. If you haven't seen these groups you
will be amazed at the skill of the JMU students and the
excitement of their music.
The ensemble has won first place at both the NABBA national
championships and the Percussive Arts Society International
Convention.
