Dr. David Wolf will be Percussion Professor In-Residence at the University of Texas Arlington while Dr. Michael Varner takes a Faculty Development Leave for the Fall 2009 semester. Varner will travel extensively and use the time for research and performing percussion, jazz, and world music, including accepting an invitation to study and teach in Nigeria. While at UT Arlington, Wolf will teach applied percussion and direct the Percussion Ensemble and the African/Brazilan Ensemble. Wolf recently received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Ohio State University. He earned his Master's degree from the University of Oklahoma and his Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
