Tom Gauger Video Lesson Series

Tom Gauger has played percussion with the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops Orchestras for over 35 years and has also served on the faculty at Boston University and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. In this series of video lessons, Tom breaks down a few of the basic skills necessary for playing the concert bass drum.

In addition to these lessons, be sure to check out Tom's series of signature bass drum mallets! In the video clips that accompany each of his products, Tom demonstrates how each mallet was designed to achieve a specific sound, and how best to use the mallets within various musical circumstances.
