Educator
Kevin Shah is an active freelance percussionist and educator in southern California specializing in orchestral percussion, marimba, marching percussion and composition. Currently, Kevin teaches at Canyon High School (Anaheim, CA) Kennedy High School (La Palma, CA) Arcadia High School (Arcadia, CA) Upland High School (Upland, CA) Nogales High School (La Puente, CA) and Mission Viejo High School (Mission Viejo, CA). As graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, Kevin has performed in many venues around the world from New York’s Carnegie Hall to Sydney’s Opera House under world-class conductors such as James Levine and James Conlon. Also experienced in marching percussion, Kevin has performed with several Division 1 Drum Corps and World Class Indoor Ensembles - in both the battery and the front ensemble. Currently, he teaches and composes music for several high school marching percussion ensembles as well as composing full wind arrangements for marching bands.
