Later moving to Naperville for better schooling, I grew up listening to my father play the keyboard and discovering how to make music. My Uncle Sean played the blues guitar at most family events and let me borrow hundreds of jazz CDs to train my ears. Before I had my own set I would tape markers together to create sticks to hit until they would explode in my hands. My first job at a pizza spot when I was 13, I saved up enough money for a drum set and from their started making music everyday. Working on being a multi percussive instrumentalist has been my passion ever since. Music is good for the soul and it is a rewarding feeling for me to share my music with as many people as possible. I have 10 years experience as a recording and nationally touring musician, and 4 years experience as a drum set/percussion teacher. Currently I’m an active musician on the scene and go to College of DuPage. I’m currently working in 5 different projects playing an average of 2-3 shows a week in the Chicago land area, shaking hands in as many networks as possible. I am also a working drummer for Music Industry Workshop at Studio Chicago. Bands and Artist I’ve played with: Agents of Change, Evil Empire, Decibal Hogg, The Aglets, The Concealed, Foxy Mophead, The No Tell Nothing, Koptien, The 1985 Bears, Wake up Siouxsie, Add 2, Mr. Robotic, Claire Stahlecker, Counterfeit I, Zak Fox Jablow, and many more… I’ve mainly studied drum set with Jamie Gallagher over the years. He is a terrific teacher and a great inspiration to my life. I’ve had lessons and clinics by Chris Dandeles, Jack Mouse, Tom Tallman, Michael Folcker, Joshua Chodoroff, Anton Fig, Mike Portney, Johnny Rabb, Steve Gadd, Cindy Blackman, Giovanni Hidalgo, Akira Jimbo, Stanton Moore, Al Payson and more.
