“Paradiddle-diddle Strength Builder”

Based on the Paradiddle-diddle (RLRRLL and then LRLLRR). Playing Full stroke 16th notes, keeping all the strokes high, digging in but bouncing and mildly accenting the the first note. (The accent is really just to keep your place).

“The Five” consists of 4 paradiddle-diddles with the accent on the first note of the paradiddle-diddle followed by a single paradiddle with the accent on the first note again which totals 5 accents. (The single paradiddle automatically allows your other hand to lead). Then repeat with that lead hand.(5 accents with one lead hand and 5 accents with the other lead hand).

“The Four” consists of 3 paradiddle-diddles followed by a single paradiddle and repeat with the new lead hand. (4 & 4 accents each lead hand)

“The Three” consists of 2 paradiddle-diddles followed by a single paradiddle and repeat with the new lead hand. (3 & 3 accents)

“The Two” consists of 1 paradiddle-diddle followed by a single paradiddle and repeat with the new lead hand. (2 & 2 accents)

“The One” is just one measure of accented single paradiddles.(4 accents)

“The Quarter Note Triplet” This is really a measure of 16th note triplets accenting ¼ note triplets with the first accent on every single paradiddle. (So 6 single paradiddles).

Then you go back to the 1 then to the 2, the 3, the 4 and the 5. So down and up over and over again 5,4,3,2,1, Quarter Note Trip,1,2,3,4,5.
