On Tuesday, September 25th, So’s latest album “Where (we) Live” was released on Cantaloupe Music!  So’s lucky 13th album is the culmination of 2 years of collaboration with the sensitive and wide-ranging songwriter Grey Mcmurray, well known for his music withitsnotyouitsme and Knights on Earth.

Following right after, on September 28-29, So will perform the world premiere at the Walker Art Center. Each performance of “Where (we) Live” is unique… a different guest artist appears with them each night. So far, these collaborators have included a ceramicist, a seamstress, a poet, and a blacksmith. The guest artists/artisans lend a fascinating aura to So’s usual presentation of music and video.

The performance also features Minneapolis-based choreographer Emily Johnson, and video by M.C. Schmidt of Matmos.

At the Walker, So will be performing with special guests Kate Farstad (Friday) & Zak Sally (Saturday).
