Newport, ME  - Vic Firth Company recently had the pleasure of a visit from Paul LePage, Governor of the state of Maine. There was a meeting with the Governor and his staff at our factory in Newport, followed by a tour of the plant.

During his visit to the Vic Firth factory in Newport, Governor LePage was particularly interested in all the programs and innovations that had been implemented since his last visit two years ago. Speaking to a gathering of employees from the first and second shifts, LePage complimented the group on Vic Firth Company’s position in the world of music — holding over a 60% share of the market in drumsticks and mallet percussion. He also commented on the fact that Vic Firth Company intends to stay in Maine and continue to increase its workforce.

Governor LePage’s visit to the Vic Firth facilities in Maine was a welcome treat for our hard-working employees. Vic Firth Company has proudly been doing business in Maine for the past 40 years. We look forward to a bright future of serving our customers, employees and the local community.
