Based in the Council Bluffs, Iowa/Omaha, Nebraska area, Aftershock Percussion was founded in 2009 by Tim Nutting and Steve Moore. Aftershock grew out of a desire to provide an outlet for members to enhance their skills in the marching and musical arts, as well as developing life skills that can be applied in their school music programs and personal lives. It is our desire to provide members with an environment that challenges them while giving them the opportunity to achieve and succeed through teamwork, dedication and perseverance.
The Aftershock Percussion motto is, “Our goal is to bring students together to create an environment that encourages self-discipline, develops leadership skills and enhances self-esteem. Aftershock is a place where young people can experience the pride of accomplishment and success through hard work, discipline and teamwork”
In its third year, Aftershock Percussion is a member of Winter Guard International and the Heartland Winter Arts Association. In addition to competing in their home circuit, Aftershock Percussion travels to Kansas city to compete in the MCCGA Circuit as well as the Denver, Colorado WGI regional competition.
