Funk Groove with “A” “E”, Snare Accent Pattern
March 10, 2011 7:41 pm in Drumset by Todd Walker
In this lesson series, Â we will look at groove in 4/4 with a accent pattern falling on some off-beat sixteenth notes (“A” and “E”), and ghost strokes as well! These type of rhythms can be found in many aspects of a Funk/Fusion Style. The transcription will follow at the end of the video on screen. Â ENJOY!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks John, it is a example of a Funk Accent off-beat approach….check out a series of future lessons to be posted on “phrasing” and you will see the similiar concept in what we discussed in our private lesson! Thanks Again! Todd
Nice! Looks like almost the same groove from our lesson.
