Jordan Terris Memorial Drum Festival

On February 27th 2011, top class drummers will be giving their time free to raise as much money as they can for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Mike Dolbear is booked to give a master class. Steve White and Craig Blundell will be holding clinics, as will James Hester, Richard Wilson and Grant Kershaw. It”s going to be a day of non-stop action!

The event is being arranged in memory of talented young drummer Jordan Terris, who died of cancer in 2007, aged just 15. It is being organized by his step-father, drum teacher Kevin Bosworth. Since coming up with the idea, Kevin has been overwhelmed with the help that the drumming community has offered him. As well as drummers offering to perform and give technical help, substantial prizes have been coming in for a large raffle and Jobeky electronic drums are donating a kit for use in the Trust”s cancer ward in Birmingham Children”s Hospital.

“Everyone is working together on this one. That”s why it’s going to be amazing” says Kevin,” Jordan would have been so proud that something like this is being done in his name “.

The festival is being held at the Co Operative Sports and Social Club in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Tickets will be on sale from mid-November, £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s.
