Ken Marino and Vito Fraccalvieri will be presenting a drum clinic at Guitar Center, Commack on Thursday February 24, 2011. Presented in conjunction with Vic Firth, this clinic will highlight the drumming of Jabo Starks and Clyde Stubblefield and explore how they have influenced funk and rock, hip-hop, drum n bass and more. This clinic is a one of a many drum clinics that Guitar Center DRUM OFF!! Judges Ken Marino and Vito Fraccalvieri have presented at the store that have include topics such as the role and bassist and drum, famous grooves every drummer should know, and the origin of style in classic rock drumming.

 

This is a free event and will prove to be an exciting and informative look into some of the most pioneering drummers in rock history. It is also presented in conjunction with Give The Drummer Some, a non-profit organization started by David Stanoch, Stanton Moore and Johnny Rabb to raise money for the medical needs of Clyde Stubblefield.
