Thanks a lot for answering. On a side note, I checked your website, loved the articles…and couldn’t stop laughing with this:
“One night I started hearing what I can now describe as some of the best drum solos I ever heard coming from that washing machine motor.” …this right here, is gold.
First of all I’m thrilled to know that you are a part of the exchange. I started playing brushes a couple of months ago, and I have found that you are one of the most inovative brush players I’ve seen and heard. Your approach to the brushes is awesome. So learning from you is a privelige .
- About the flex stroke. Would it be possible to use it like a single stroke roll between the two hands? What about possible applications with rudiments, besides the single stroke roll?
- Is it possible to play the Flex stroke with traditional grip?
- I see that you use the heritage brush. Is it possible to use all the other Vic Firth brushes to obtain the same result with the flex stroke?
