Mark Wessels' Rudimental Technique
     Exercise #10: Alternating Accents

Now, applying the same two height concept to accent patterns that alternate from hand to hand. Again, watch for consistency of the two heights: 12 inches for each accent, 3 inches for each tap. Stay as relaxed as possible, only using enough pressure in the hand to control the stick on the accent stroke – but no more! As you increase speed, gradually lower the height on the accent stroke to 6 inches.
