"I have been using Vic Firth Extreme 5B since day one and LOVE them! I prefer that extra bit of length over the traditional 5B. The extreme 5B offers me a bit more length for a more powerful and efficient stroke. With that little bit of extra length, I don't feel like I'm having to work as hard to achieve the desired volume.
