VIC FIRTH ARTIST
LALO

Vibraphonist/composer Lalo mixes beautiful melodies and arresting harmonies with a fiery, grooving performance. “Lalo has injected some rock vitality into the vibraphone,” proclaimed host Liane Hansen during a feature interview on NPR Weekend Edition Sunday. “Lalo’s music exists as a playground made of sound,” read a Jazz Times magazine feature on the vibraphonist.

Currently based in New York, Lalo has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe as a performer and bandleader. Her shows are always innovative and exciting, utilizing a number of groups ranging from unusual duos to large, orchestral ensembles. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she frequently performs at festivals such as Rochester Jazz Festival and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, numerous colleges and universities, and venues in and around NYC.
