True musicians are hard to find in this commercial era but Breakbeat is a breath of fresh air.
The irrepressible Breakbeat is known to many as a charismatic drummer, and musical director. However to the astonishment of many, Breakbeat is also a fluent lyricist, composer, producer and natural born leader. Breakbeat has amassed major credits playing alongside: Kanye West, John Legend, Estelle, Raheem Devaughn and Nate James amongst others. Breakbeat has never been one to settle for the average and is always in pursuit of perfection. Having worked with an assortment of artists from around the UK and the US, Breakbeat was often dismayed at how little acts were performing live; resulting in certain tours being “LIVE” mimed. As a result of this frustration Breakbeat decided to start a new movement/label called UKSP (United Kingdom Soul Project). UKSP was set up to give an outlet for the REAL talent, which would pay particular attention to UK acts.
UKSP as a movement have stepped out of the typical music industry stereotypes and are carving out their own niche in the market. Already racking up INDEPENDENT sales of 15k copies of 100% independent progress & back 4 da first time, people are now taking notice of his infectious brand of music. Breakbeat & UKSP combined have performed live in all the top London and European clubs, including 10 rooms, Penthouse, Shebu and more recently the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival & after party where Breakbeat brought down the house with his inspirational performance. Breakbeat and UKSP have also been special support guests for the likes of Montell Jordon, SWV, UK soul diva Terri Walker and Black-eyed Peas. The magic of Breakbeat’s music can be heard in his lyrics: his words are honest, retrospective and thought provoking, now add a brilliantly composed and produced backing music and LIVE DRUMS and the end result is explosive!

Breakbeat so far has put out two singles on the underground scene and has received a warm welcome into the hearts of many. The stage is where he shines at his greatest; his heartfelt performances wow many genres audiences. Equipped with a full live band (Bass drums and guitar) the live show is tight and brings any stage and venue to life.
