BOB BRYAR

Hailing from Chicago, Bob joined My Chemical Romance in 2004. Frank Iero, guitarist in My Chemical Romance, is quoted as saying "Bob and Toro (guitar, MCR) are the two hardest working people I've ever met, and if there is a God, I thank him everyday for bringing us Bob."

Prior to joing MCR, Bob attended university in Gainesville, Florida and spent time at Disney World working as a drummer. He credits his time spent in the scholastic symphonic and jazz bands as major influences in his drumming style.

My Chemical Romance was formed in 2001, and the band's name from a book entitled "Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance", by Irvine Welsh. The band cite their main influences as Queen, Thursday, Iron Maiden, The Misfits, and The Smiths, while Bob cites Dave Weckl as a major influence, as well.
